I just purchased a hand Blender/Mixer and enjoy shakes in the morning for breakfast! It’s great, fast and healthy! My 4yr old loves them too and we both get out the door on time to his daycare! I mix up plain yogurt, frozen blueberries, banana and add some flax seed and bingo a healthy breakfast!  It’s simple and convenient.

Studies have found that children who eat a healthier breakfast have higher energy levels and have better learning advantages.  Having Breakfast evens out your blood sugars, makes you focused and curbs your cravings for sweets and carbs.

Here are some healthy recipes for your shakes!

Tropical Shake

1 1/2 banana, frozen

4 strawberries, frozen
1/2 mango
1 1/4 cup water
1/8 tsp. natural coconut extract
1 heaping tbsp. high- quality protein powder (optional)
1 tsp. flax oil (optional)
6 ice cubes

In a blender, process all the ingredients until thoroughly mixed and serve.

Banana-Orange Shake

6 strawberries, frozen
1/2 banana, frozen
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup orange juice
1 tbsp. skim milk powder
1 heaping tbsp. high- quality protein powder (optional)
1 tsp. flax oil (optional)

In a blender, process all the ingredients until thoroughly mixed and serve.


Chocolate Banana Pie Shake

8 oz. of water
1 half cup of ice (2 cubes)
Half of a banana
1 tsp. raw organic chocolate
1 whole (light or low-cal) graham cracker
Blend the above ingredients well (60 seconds)

Next, add 1 scoop of chocolate and blend for an additional 15 seconds.

Enjoy in a chilled glass!
